What are diaper covers?

Diaper covers are a second layer of material used to prevent wetness from leaking through a diaper. The covers are used on top of fitted, contoured and pre-fold diapers. They can be form fitting (with snaps or velcro) or pants. Some covers are completely water-proof, while others wick moisture away.
