Company Profile   

Alyahs Alternatives LLC was developed out of a concern by Shayla Boyd-Gill, the owner. She is the mother of four beautiful children. Her first child encountered a severe case of diaper rashes which led her to research the use of cloth diapering.

Shayla found the Fuzzi Bunz Stay Dry Diapersthrough an online chat group. She tried the product with her son and has been using them on her babies every since. The product impressed her so much that she decided to become a distributor and share the knowledge of cloth diapering with other moms in her community..

Shayla travels to conferences nationwide and speaks on the topic of cloth diapering, alternative menstrual products and natural childbirth.  Additionally, she speaks to young girls entering puberty about hygiene and caring for their bodies during their moon cycle.  She had developed a First Moon Kit to give mothers, aunts, grandmothers, and friends an awesome gift to present to the young woman in their lives.

 

Shayla is a member of Mocha Moms, Inc. Holistic Moms Network, Internatiional Center for Traditional Childbearing and a founding member of Bellydancers of Color Association. Additionally, she is a wife, homeschooling mom, natural childbirth instructor, doula (birth companion) and prenatal bellydance instructor.

 

Shayla has been featured on local tv stations and magazines in the DC Metropolitan area.
