The Moby Swaddle Blanket was the idea of Public Health Nurse Monica Soderstrom. Monica was constantly recommending the Moby Wrap to her clients after seeing how happy, secure and comfortable babies and their caretakers were while using the Moby. She was looking for a blanket babies could be swaddled in when not being carried. The blankets she found did not have enough stretch, or were too small. Monica approached the owners of Moby Wrap, Inc. to design a swaddle blanket out of the Moby cotton - which had the perfect stretch and could be made large enough to swaddle babies easily and safely.
